Spent an age looking for a caff to work in and then remembered this gem in Angel.
Mentioned how nice it was to find a quiet spot to the waiter and they said they could do with a few more customers 😬
Anyway, it’s a lovely spot and been here for decades now.
Great place. I’m going to contradict myself here, but I love going there because it’s quiet, also wish more people would visit it incase they shut down for lack of customers.

It’s owned by Mr Mystery Man who owns the club further down Torrens — which is maybe why they don’t need to turn a profit. He also owns the art gallery next door. I once ran into him and was so thrilled (I’ve lived by Angel for 35 years) that I started asking him all kinds of questions and he got understandably cagey. Seemed a decent bloke, tho. I’d love to know how that street works, in fact.
