    It occurs though that those ‘Scottish Lairds’ that have ‘bought’ a square foot of land from those Hong Hong based companies might be worried that their *vast* estate might be broken up. 🙂

    Those so-called lairds don’t actually own anything, the company that sold the certificates owns the land. It is a scam.

  3. I think if the government is serious about climate change / native afforestation / peat bog restoration, they should buy estates when they come on the market and restore the land to its natural state. Buy it at fair market value, and employ locals to manage the land accordingly.
