Definitely would make sense. Unfortunately won’t happen, especially in Germany
Poland: get ur money up
Duda is a huge dipshit, but I agree with his stance on re-arming NATO members
MMW: This will be Trump’s new talking point. Any NATO country not at 3% is a “deadbeat” and doesn’t deserve security. Even the EU leaders agree!
It would be nice if Europe received the same scrutiny for failing to stand up to Russia that the USA receives.
I say boost it to 75 percent and go all in and conquer Russia and sell the parts off to the former historical countries that owned different parts of it.
dude did not exactly present himself like a statesman since the political power shifted..
so basically the idiot wants everyone else to pay less money and for america to continue paying over 80%?
nato needs to fuck off and be disbanded already
Meanwhile China is raising it by 7%, been increasing every year for the last 3 years.

USA: “I got everyone covered”
It’s the best way to avoid a conflict. Worth every penny.
Canada: sorry, best we can do is 1.29%. Not even half the requirement
NATO will need to do much better than 3%. War Pigs have quite the appetite.
Canada does less than 1%. Maybe we’ll reach 3% in our collective dreams.
Though boosting the NATO bar to 3% may be necessary, let’s perhaps get all members to 2% first.
Canada: well now we’re gonna reduce our even harder!
Meanwhile Russia is spending already more than 6% of their GDP on the military. 3% of the EU GDP alone demolishes Russia’s 6%.
If Russia were to go full North Korea starvation mode (40% of GDP), the appropriate amount EU alone would have to spend to match it would be 8%. These calculations are adjusted for purchase power parity (which favors Russia).
I thought the polish president was supposed to be symbolic. Is Duda in election mode? If Steinmeier was saying something like that, I would feel like this isn’t his place to propose it but the chancellors.
I’m not a big military guy but I do agree NATO need to show its ready to face down Russia. Europe in particular need it as the US may not be the most reliable ally given how many Republicans are actively pro Russia.
