  1. A classic tale. Patty Jenkins had the world at her feet with the amazing success of *Wonder Woman*. And what did she do? She convinced herself that she alone was responsible for the success, not the incredible team of people she put together to make that film. Then she decided to try to make another movie without those people, assuming much of their responsibilities herself. And surprise! It was terrible.

  4. I’m not against this. Wonder Woman was great but 1984 was one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. So much in it was entirely terrible, but then it had things that were so far out of the realm of realism, even for a superhero movie, that it was stupid.

    The scene of the kids playing soccer in the desert will always come to mind. They’re kicking a ball back and forth, while less than a mile away a convoy of machine guns, rockets, etc are all going off, and it gets to the point where that convoy might run over the kids so Wonder Woman has to save them? It was hideously dumb.

  5. She killed it by making WW84, which is no-shit one of the worst movies I’ve seen (and I watch tons of cheap stupid trash).

  7. Issue is the budgets. It takes a massive amount of cinema watchers to make it successful with the elevated budgets, and then it still takes a good script, so maybe cut down on VFX and write better stories, and offer lower wages to the actors. I guess most will still say yes to 2-3millions instead of 10millions.

  15. WW 1 to WW84 is probably one of the biggest drop offs ever for a sequel. WW84 is unwatchable on all levels, even as something to just laugh at.

  16. Plot aside, the action wasn’t very good. And the final fight was just plain bad

  22. Hopefully it gets cancelled completely, rebooted and we can get a recast with someone that has muscle and a personality.

  24. 84 was so bad such a missed opportunity since they had a captive audience with the pandemic. It was like a friend started writing songs and sent you a link to listen to them and you put it off. Then a week latter he corners you at a party with his phone out and makes you listen to them then and there and they are awful, but you have to scramble to find something good to say about them.

  29. Wonder Woman 1984 had Wonder Woman literally raping a guy in it. Rape is ok as long as women do it.
