  1. Someone politely asked me if they could tailgate the other day, to which I said of course. It’s the ones that just assume I’m ok with being shoved from behind that can do one.

  2. Every day I see people just bust though the gates at St Pancras

  3. At the Camden tube stop at night, paying is just a suggestion. You can push open the disabled gate and the staff will just let you do it, the entire area is completely lawless.

  4. My dad works as a station supervisor and he’s been told not to interfere with fare evaders because a) Transport Police will deal with it directly and b) if he gets hurt in the process he can get done

  5. ‘Haven’t got the money for the fare’ – but you have got money for drink/cigarettes/hash/drugs…..

    Throw the book at them

  6. I saw them today at old street station, they tried to stop someone and the guy just ran away.

  7. Having one of the highest prices in Europe / World definitely helps

  8. 47 passengers caught in 4 weeks in the whole city??? There are stations where you can catch 47 fare evaders in half an hour

  9. New barriers that prevent this and more enforcing tech/people. Most of the time I see people doing this in designer trainers or with iPhones newer than mine etc. fuck the absolute lot of them. Same with those who litter on the tube – if you left the FT behind you I could understand, but no one wants your free fucking metro or evening standard

Failing all this just put up signs with “fare evaders will be prostituted…in order to pay back their fares”

  10. I just came home from Moorgate where there were plain clothed officers with cameras on watching the gates and the man in front of me skipped behind the person in front and they did nothing. It was bizarre.

  11. Should all be press-ganged into dragging tube trains between stations whenever there’s a strike.
