    Johnson’s majority is even smaller. If he wants to pass any legislation it will be nearly impossible now.

They’re going to to try to steal the election by him not swearing in the new house (or at least enough dems to keep a repub majority) by saying they need to investigate some elections and kicking the election back to the house which is ultimately gets sent to the states themselves. Each state gets 1 vote and right now, I think 26 out of 50 states have repub governors.

It will become such a shit show that by the end of this the ‘investigation’ and attempt at the impeachment of Biden will be discussed on right wing infotainment as a deep state evil democrat plot to mislead and make Republicans look bad and that they are actually the real patriots for not falling for it and should get credit for not fanning the flames of division. It will be infuriating to watch.

    You can’t just make shut up and try to remove a president you don’t like from office. Which is what the GOP is trying to do.

  11. This is a great opportunity for sane people who recognize some objective, shared reality to see how MAGA sees the Trump impeachments. In their minds, the impeachments were political hit jobs completely without merit, and were proven so when he suffered zero consequences. The GOP impeachment effort on Biden was to fully support that notion; to remove weight from the idea of impeachment itself, and show that it’s just a thing political opponents do because they can. So, their goals are already met.

  12. Reporting came out that the a 600k payment yo the “informant” that started all this, happened about the same time the information started being given to the fbi.

    It came from a group that has some medium strong ties to trump himself. That’s the sort of thing you want to distance yourself from.

But godamn it’s more complicated than he thought, living in a fantasy world where your wife baby talks, your daughter gives her virginity to you by purity pledge reverse uno card, and a porn monitoring app covenant with a minor makes perfect sense. If it was hive insanity born from propaganda that got us into this, it is going to be the individual stupidity component that somehow gets us out. The enemy is demonstrably simple minded.

    He sees through some of the bullshit in his party sometimes, and is able to agree with the other side sometimes as well. Still too cowardly to act on it though.
