I’m a MAGA Republican and I hate this man! I despise this filth of a human being BUT, there were obvious rules on set. There were people who’s job was to make sure no real ammo was on set, guns that were supposed to constantly be checked, and responsible for the safe handling of weapons especially if they are real weapons. It was a tragic accident and I do not wish prison for a tragic accident. Now if he was supposed to be responsible for all that and he still did this, then yes, hang him high but we all know that’s not the facts. Yes, he’s despicable but others were responsible for this tragedy. Just being real.
As someone from New Mexico, I firmly believe that it is the responsibility of the gun user to ensure the safety of their firearm. New Mexico has relatively lenient gun laws, and the state holds everyone accountable for their gun safety. In this incident involving Baldwin, he is responsible for ensuring the firearm is safe to use before taking it. Being an actor does not exempt him from this responsibility.
Baldwin failed to follow the safety guidelines, which led to the unfortunate incident. Moreover, he lied to the investigators, which indicates that he knew something was amiss. As a seasoned actor, he should have been aware of and followed the safety protocols. These actions will likely have severe consequences for him.
