Well there you go, I’m gonna sleep like a baby tonight.
As a father of two daughters (2yo and 6yo) I have to say I’m very proud to have them. I grew up with 3 brothers and only knew cis male energy. Being given daughters was a curveball but it opened me to an entirely new world/energy. If we had boys, I would have been operating on the same expectations as my upbringing, but this perspective has given my life a whole new world to explore for the rest of my life.
It’s not unique and it damn sure isn’t profound. I’m just really happy too.
What are we going to do when ” girl dad” doesn’t make people feel special enough? Blonde girl dad!!! Sports girl dad! Sports blonde girl dad!
My girls were far, far less problematic than my boy. I love them all, but the girls were easy.
