Honestly why don’t they use the gold to actually develop the country.
Only the 2 capitals/large cities are developed, the large swarths of the country is totally empty.
As a Romanian I say that even if they ever come to give that back Im pretty sure it would come with many strings attached. Russia will never do something out of the kindness of their hearts, because kind and hearts dont exist in that region..just insecurity and the thought that the world is out to get them!
They will never give anything back and if they do try it and attach them strings I would rather tell them to choke on it!
Romania’s economy grew to being 12th in the EU at present, and in about 5-10 years it will break the top 10. We did this with absolutely no Russian help, or treasure from WW1 …
We are in the right clubs (EU & NATO) and that should be the only focus! Oh, and of course keep fighting against corruption!

When a war is over it’s settled. You can’t make demands or claims you can only start a new war to get back what you lost and that is something i think both parts would rather stay out of if they can.
