These prices are ridiculous

  1. Anything with refined sugar has inelastic demand because refined sugar is a drug and the food industry knows it.. egg prices have the most elastic demand in the grocery store. SO dont pay attention to the 75% of crap in the grocery store spiked with sugar to overcome elastic demand. Also dont buy any of it.

edit: for those that dont know what elastic demand is, it’s what you learned about in econ 101. HIgh price sales drop. Low price sales increase. When things are inelastic we start getting on socialist subreddits and say capitalism is broken.

  2. Just stop buying. If we can all just stop buying that garbage for like a little while prices will ease a bit.

  3. Wait until you see how much you will pay the dentist. EVEN with health insurance 🙄

  4. Twenty bucks is the new five. Five is the new one dollar.

  5. Those look like reasonable prices for candy? They’re big bags.

  6. What did you think was gonna happen after we printed endless trillions to pay everyone to stay home?

  7. Looks like a gas station. Double the normal price seems standard

  8. Good. Let it deter ppl from buying it – those are some of the worst ‘things’ for human consumption

  9. I’m waiting for someone to blame biden for these prices, educate people on the economy and say we need America to be run like a business.

  10. Don’t gas stations like the Circle K shown in this picture usually sell candy at an upcharge?

  11. I thought the mortgage interest and gas prices were hurting the economy. I was wrong. It was the gummy bears all along

  12. Polar Seltzer is $5.99 for a 12 pack of cans. I refuse to buy it now. I get a little joy every time I walk by the Isla and see the off brand seltzer is sold out and the polar brand just sits there. They had a 12 pack of Coke-zero cans is now $7.99. That is straight up price gouging. The price of phosphoric acid and sugar has come back down and I somehow doubt they have doubled their employees wages.

  13. Dollar Tree has various candies assorted sizes for $1.25 usually.

  14. A minimum wage worker could afford one of those for an hour’s work, after taxes.

  15. Please don’t eat that crap…eat whole foods not empty calories…that’s why Americans are fat fucks

  16. If prices are ridiculous, don’t pay them.

If enough people don’t, the prices *not* being paid will come down, or the useless products will go away.
