I would follow Dave Ramsey’s plan first and foremost, and that he places getting out of debt#2 on the list after paying for shelter which is #1. Best advice I have seen. When I switched to “cash only” in my mid-30’s I have never been in debt since and the amount of money you can save is something when you actually get to keep your check.
