  1. Did she just text her last goodbyes when she still had the chance?

  2. All that paint automatically marks all ballots as Putin.

  3. ‘It’s ok we have replacement pre filled ballots anyways’

  4. Oh no. How will they count all those ballots now? I guess Putin will have to continue being president until the next elections. What a shame.

  5. She’s got tons more courage than the average russian male.

  6. She can be imprisoned for this action. Moscow is Mordor

  7. That’s very decent move, but unfortunately in Russia the official results of an election are not connected to the voting process in any way.

It’s not about “voting is rigged”, it’s exactly “voting have no effect on the results, at all”.

  8. Good thing they filmed, they never would have noticed while “counting”

  9. It’s a shame that she committed suicide later that day by shooting herself twice in the back of the head.

  10. I know it dosn’t matter anyways, but just imagine waking up going to vote. Stand in Line for an hour and then this happens and you could’ve just stayed in bed

  11. I wonder how many years in prison that gets you…

  12. I saw a lot of confused comments here whether the girl was a Kremlin regime’s supporter or not, so I want to explain why she, certainly, isn’t a “pro-Putin”.
As a Russian opposition supporter myself, I want to tell you that Russians citizens above age of 18 who do not want Putin for president would come to vote on 17th March at 12:00 local time.
Basically, all of the opposition agreed to do this to show the number of actual anti-Putin voters.

  13. No harm done, they were already counted before election day anyway.

  14. She has bigger balls than Putin ever had. Respect. @

  15. Was she trying to fill in for the government officials in entirely denying the actual votes

  16. I have no data to back up my claim and I base this opinion on random videos all over the internet. But:

    # “The people with the biggest balls in Russia are young women”

    Seriously.

  17. Why do most top comments think she would be against Putin? His support is lowest in big cities like Moscow, so it’s possible that the motive is to void votes against the dictator and thus make his support seem greater than it actually is.

  18. I’m all for citizen opposition against Putin’s regime, but this doesn’t really achieve anything for the cost paid. Same as chanting and holding signs, just to be arrested and silenced. That might work in Europe, but it literally does nothing in Russia. I’m sure a country with a history of revolution can find more impactful ways to communicate their opposition in a language that authorities will definitely understand…

  19. She will fall from a balcony sometime in the future. Putin’s democracy.

  20. Oh no! How will they now know who those votes would have gone to!

  21. I love the NPC behaviour between everyone. Commit to action, immediately go onto phones and do nothing.

  22. Imagine getting multiple years in prison all for nothing. The best way to show disdain is to not vote.

  23. The police were there in like two seconds. Do they hang around in every fucking voting room?

  24. I’m shocked they even have cameras in there.

  25. Incredibly brave girl, more balls than most men in russia

  26. It’s easy, they all voted for Putin so from 120 votes 550 were for Putin.

  27. So stupid, it won’t change anything. She will go to prison for 5 years.

  28. Now she’s going to jail for 5 years for this stupidity. Facepalm.

  29. I get the sentiment of rebellion.

But this seems like the least impactful protest possible while taking yourself out of the game.

What did this do? Mildly inconvenient the voting for around 20 minutes of cleaning the bucket?
