  1. And as the article points out they did not help the local areas economically and caused problems.

  2. I don’t see why any of the companies will have any interest in improving our Earth other than them saying they care when it’s very unlikely that they do.

  3. The petrochemical industry makes **bank** with their perpetual oil-to-plastic lines… That’s not to take away from the amazing material science advances that we’ve made. But one of the cash cows in the petrochemical industry is plastics.
