Tory MP defects to Labour telling Boris Johnson he is ‘incapable of offering leadership’

  1. For any non-followers of British politics:

When Corbyn lost in 2019, he lost a lot of “red wall” seats. These are traditional Labour strongholds in the North of England.

However many of these seats were likely to return to Labour once Brexit was done, unless the Tories could really prove themselves.

Boris’s party has been the straw that broke the camels back for many people. This guy with had a majority of just .8% (yes, 402 votes) more than Labour, this is likely to see him kicked out in the case of another election.

  2. Well this guy has lost his job next election. A MP who switches isn’t one to be trusted. He’ll likely be voted out.

  3. I can’t understand how a Tory can switch to Labour and viceversa. There is not much they have in common. Even accounting for a 2 party system, surely it was a more coherent stance to stand as an independent MP
