  30. I think we all know that his job is to basically come off as a new Zhirinovski, but… I DO hope that our fellow Europeans now understand what most countries bordering Russia – who also happen to be not exactly friends of Russia – have had to deal with, like… always. 

    Can you imagine someone openly threatening the chancellor of Germany? Or the president of France? With hanging or execution? 

    No – because for most Western Europeans it would be unheard of. And yet your fellow members in EU, just on the eastern side, have heard threats about future repercussions and death threats, threats about repeating soviet repressions or deportations if they ever get a chance, on a pretty much yearly basis since the USSR fell. 

    THAT is the reason why Baltics and Poland were deemed “paranoid” about Russia. Because they’ve always treated us like the text above and most Western Europeans can’t even imagine anybody doing that, let alone a former head of a country. That’s why some countries in east part of the EU were so angry with French and Germans for not doing more early on for Ukraine – because Bucha and Irpin, at the time not yet known, were nevertheless feared to be happening purely because of what happened historically in our own countries.

  33. Hold up, I’m gonna have to put together a spreadsheet, so I can keep the names, dates and documentation together, for posterity, countries that Medvedev has nullified. So far we have: Ukraine, Latvia and Romania and that might be the last 24 hours. Who am I missing? Should “Finland Doesn’t Exist” be the center of the Bingo card or does Belarus automatically get that spot?
