The solution is to make sure we have outreach to make sure we have a diversity of polling clerks. It sounds like the issue was dealt with and hopefully that individual won’t be a polling clerk again.

Not an Irish citizen but have been given the referendum papers when going to vote. When I mentioned I was not supposed to vote in referendums, I was told to just go fill in the voting card. I guess I looked Irish?
Also, when getting my drivers licence renewed, I ticked that I was not born in Ireland, to which the lady insisted I would need to show her my ‘refugee’ card.
