Trump as a phenomenon is fascinating to me. He is transparently a narcissist egomaniac sociopath. Even his supporters usually acknowledge that. He also pretty clearly doesn’t love anyone but himself. The lies are legendary.
Despite all this, people trust him! I cannot understand trusting Trump to do anything that isn’t in his personal self interest. Sometimes that might align a bit with the national interest, but generally it won’t. The last flip flop on TikTok after talking with the billionaire owner, despite leading the charge against TikTok and Chinese influence 4 years ago, was the last in a long line.
I understand wanting to follow a strong man leader. I do not understand why people trust him to do anything except look out for Donald Trump.

So, according to the poll, 78% of voters don’t realize the FED sets interest rates and not the President?
Now ask how important these specific issues are to voters.
It’s fucking baffling to me, a rich guy from NY who’s never worked a day in his life, who made money bankrupting small businesses by not paying them, who called the people in the army suckers and tried a coup d’état is somewhow the guy who loves America and will fight for the small guy
