Focus groups: Wisconsin swing voters blame Trump and GOP for failed border bill

  1. It’s super important for Biden and Democrats to push this message up until the election so that, at the very least, some independents and moderate conservatives come to understand that the GOP wants to maintain the immigration “crisis” to bolster Trump’s chances at re election.

Voters need to understand that most Republicans don’t care about “secure borders”, fentanyl, or Laken Riley for that matter, they just care about exploiting these things, even tragedies, for political gain. And despite Marjorie Taylor Greene’s *performance* at the state of the union address, where she acted more like she was attending a fucking highschool pep rally.

And don’t get me started about the SOTU response, Katie Britt was actually involved in the negotiations for that border bill that Republicans indiscriminately shot down, while then deciding to spread disinformation about it to cover their tracks. I mean, this should be enough to clue voters in on just how disingenuous Republicans are being with this issue.

At any rate, this message needs to be made explicitly clear, because among other things, it’s what’s going to drive voters to the polls.

  2. Anyone who is the slightest bit objective would blame Trump and the GOP.

  3. Democrats for the love of fuck hammer this home. Do your goddamn jobs for once.

  4. I am amazed that American voters will blame the party that voted down a bill responsible for the bill failing. That seems so… rational.

  5. Props to Wisconsin. Got some actual awakened people up there.

  6. What’s even LESS accurate than useless polls? Useless focus groups.

  7. Hmmm.

I wonder why. Could it be their gerrymandering experience has left them with the ability to see more clearly?

  8. It boggles the mind why states that are far removed from the border with Mexico get up in arms over that border and it’s not like migrants are being bused to Wisconsin either.

  9. The GOP did control the House, Senate, and White House in part of Trump’s first term. So you know… just sayin..

  10. As they should. Anyone with a functioning brain can see they’re 100% to blame.

  11. Ironically, they are not talking about the border closest to them. It’s highly unlikely that Wisconsin has a migrant issue.

  12. Excellent … the fog may be lifting for enough people.

  13. Good to hear. Of the three major swing states (WI, MI, PA) WI is the one I am most worried about.

  14. Wierd, I had no idea there was a big influx of job-stealing, drug smuggling immigrants in Wisconsin.

    Edit; /s

  15. I guess the truth is seeping through to some people despite all the lying going on about the bill.

Most Republicans don’t want a solution they want a campaign issue.

If you want a solution you’re going to have to get it from Democrats and the handful of reasonable Republicans that remain.

  16. > Biden vowed to tell voters “every day between now and November” that Trump and congressional Republicans were responsible for refusing to fix the crisis.

Has Biden been following through on this?
