The great brainwashing has began.
It fails on one big flaw in the argument – messaging apps (definitely looking at you FB Messenger) still read your messages at the origin, it is only the transport that is encrypted, so all controls of dangerous content can already be done at that point. There is no requirement to have ‘in clear’ transport.
So real offenders will use some real encryption on top of their messaging app and rest of the population will be under scrutiny, which is the actual goal anyway…

If there are any abuses, those are at home, it’s not like people will record and send that over the wire.
WTF are the lawmakers implying, that the abusers will exchange abuse videos between themselves and that’s how they with catch them?
