Ordinary Turkish Cypriots wouldn’t even support this, they like being Turkish without living in Turkey, they’ve spent 20 years looking at how AKP has ruined Turkey and they don’t want it! The first thing Erdogan would do is islamise their economy which would destroy them, (their main draw is gambling which AKP banned in Turkey) Turkish Cypriots have more sense than that.
>Nalcıoğlu, a member of the Presidential Economic Committee, expressed support for Prime Minister Sucuoğlu’s statement that “Ercan Airport should be included in the domestic routes of the Republic of Turkey” and said, “I advocate the annexation of Cyprus as a whole to its real owner, motherland Turkey.”

>Presidential Economy and Natural Resources Committee member Fuat Malcıoğlu expressed support for Prime Minister Faiz Sucuoğlu ‘s statement that “Ercan Airport should be included in the domestic routes of the Republic of Turkey” and said, “I support the integration of Cyprus as a whole to its real owner, motherland Turkey” said.

>WHAT IS INVITATION?
>Unlike the word “İlhak” which means “to add”, the word “İtihak” means “to join”.
>Joining means the joining of the people living on a piece of land to another country, either by the decision of their own assembly or by the decision to be taken by the referendum to be held, or unification with that country.
>One of the first examples that can be given to the word “joining” is expressed as “Hatay”.
>Elections were held on 13 August and Turks took part in the majority of the parliament. On 29 June 1939, Hatay State joined Turkey in line with the decision taken by the National Assembly.
>WHAT HAPPENED?
>Prime Minister Faiz Sucuoğlu said that he had a meeting with AKP Deputy Chairman Binali Yıldırım during his Ankara contacts and that they discussed the issue of “inclusion of Ercan Airport within the scope of domestic flights” and that there was a serious study on this issue.
>Sucuoğlu’s aforementioned statements drew the opposition of the opposition and were described as “an effort to make a province”.
>Those who reacted to the decision pointed out that the inclusion of Ercan in the domestic routes would create a vacuum, especially in the field of immigration, and criticized that the country would turn into a “don’t ask for an inn”.
>SUCUOĞLU SAID “THEY WILL BE TAKEN INTO THE TAXATION SYSTEM”, HE DID NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT Immigration
>Making a statement on the reactions, Sucuoğlu shared the details that the TRNC will be included in the “domestic lines taxation system”, but did not make any statements about how the immigration procedures would work.
>Sucuoğlu claimed that if this step is taken, ticket prices will “at least 37 Euros cheaper” and said, “I am sadly observing the baseless claims that the TRNC will be made a province.”
can somebody more knowledgeable than me explain why Cyprus can’t become/stay as a country on its own , in a way like Belgium was a combo of French (Wallon) and Dutch/Germanic (Flemish) populations?
Oh no.
Anyway….
Not really a surprise, move along people, nothing new to see here
Colonialism.
