Ukraine showed the world, russia can’t win decisively and best case is to wear out the other side and use misinformation like they have done with the GOP to gain support.

Some indirect (often delayed) NATO help given to Ukraine is enough for that country to hold on and push back against the full might of Russia, and Russia is not holding back. The stresses of that war have already lead to a brief coup, and Putin having to throw dozens of prior allies out of windows. All of NATO against Russia would be completely overwhelming.
And no matter what anyone says about nukes, no one on either side wants to use them. Putin knows without any doubt that the moment he launches a nuke against NATO, a flood of missiles designed to prevent Russia from launching anything every again will be incoming. Maybe Russia can launch enough to ensure mutual destruction (maybe NATO ends up being better at shooting them down than we know), but that’s hardly something Putin will be able to celebrate.
And (assuming nukes are not launched) there would be no reason for China to join in the defense of Russia. But even if it did, it seems unlikely that they would be able to take on all of NATO. If that happened, I imagine that Japan, Korea, and others would join in as well on the side of NATO. China has no reason to risk being on the wrong side of a new World War. Their eventual global economic dominance is already in the cards.
