  1. Has this stuff always happened or is it new?

I only ask as I only moved down south after the pandemic and didn’t hear about all this madness before. Seems to be a lot lately.

  2. Ireland has a problem that it refuses to deal with properly

  3. Whenever there are no consequences for this sort of violence, the behaviour will continue and the violence will escalate.

We’re long past time for a compulsory five year minimum sentence for carrying any bladed article without good reason.

  4. What’s with the sudden increase in MACHETE attacks?

  5. My mum moved to South Africa when she was pregnant with me because she was a single, pregnant woman in the very early 80’s, -not a great place to be as a woman here, but I’ll tell you what, with all the nonsense horror stories about SA, I find the vast majority of them to be absolute bollocks, but with that being said…..

Who the actual fuck is running around Cobh with a fucking machete, ffs?!

*Gardaí are investigating suggestions a weapon such as a sword or machete may have been used in the brutal attack.*

The gardai should just read the headline for hints.

  7. “The weapon believed to have been used was a machete or heavy-bladed sword”

LOLing at the possibility of a lad sorting out family feuds with a great-sword.

  8. I knew the guy who got attacked pretty well. Guy wouldn’t hurt a fly. Absolutely heartbroken.
