Hello guys!

So I'm moving in to my new flat soon and already took care of my internet connection in it.

I received the Fritzbox, but as soon as I unpacked it I saw that I didnt have a suitable plug for the socket that I have.

At first I thought I didn't have the possibility to have wired internet connection at my flat but then I spoke with the previous tenant and he told me he had his router plugged in the socket where the coaxial cable can be plugged in and it worked 100% fine.

As far as I know, this is an old socket, and I didn't really try plugging any cable there as the socket is not the one I have at my soon-to-be old flat.

This being said, does anybody know if the DSL/Ethernet cables from the Fritzbox can be connected in this socket. If not, can a sort of adapter be bought to do the job? Or does an electrician need to come and install a new socket?

Thank you for your help!

No the router has a coaxial interface and uses the old system to transmit data, don’t worry !

  2. your provider probably sent you everything you should need to connect it. Out of my head top is internet, left cable TV and on the right vhf radio.
