The tories created a situation where someone on full disability benefits has a significantly higher take home than someone working 40 hours at minimum wage, created a system with non medical professionals assessing people’s claimed disabilities, then… shocked pikachu… people exploited it, and use this fact to stir up hate for everyone on disability benefits.
They couldn’t have fucked this up harder if they tried, and they really did try to fuck it up harder.
The next government needs to raise the bar for disability benefits so we don’t get lazy shits bragging on TikTok about the lavish lifestyle their “interview anxiety” buys them, and we need to have actual medical professionals make the decisions so people crippled by cancer, MS, etc don’t end up being told they can work because they can lift a telephone.
