>Two years ago, the idea of geographic restrictions on NATO military exercises resonated with Ukrainian citizens.
Well according to the chart, Ukrainians were more interested in it than the rest of Eastern Europe and South Europe. At the end of the day, no one is enthusiastic that any of this is happening, and sure there are Ukrainians that are concerned that it may only provocate. However, I can promise you most Ukrainians who are aware that NATO troops are in Ukraine year-round and are constantly training Ukrainian troops appreciate the support and helping hand.
NATO presence in Ukraine is extremely important, not just in terms of military training but also the headquarters in Kyiv and policy advisers that are consulting Kyiv when it comes to reforms and ways NATO and Ukraine can expand on our current partnership. 🇺🇦🤝NATO
I also think that NATO shouldn’t conduct military exercises closer than ten meters from Russian border. Fifteen meters is acceptable, twenty is perfect.
