  1. I play a game called Factorio, and one thing that batteries do on your grid is allow you to store energy while your demand is below max supply. Then when you have sudden spikes that go beyond the amount of power your power plants can generate, the batteries add additional power. So even with pure fossil fuel energy, batteries provide a more stable grid.

    Is this the case with real life grid batteries? Can we expect a more robust power delivery with them? Such as like the Texas snow storm that caused many power plants to not produce energy.
