I assumed when the Greens took the foreign policy post they believed it would just be a comfy do-nothing seat, like it was under Merkel.
It’s interesting seeing how they react to recent events.
What is Germany going to do? They depend on the Russian gas and they barely have an army to protect them. Sure Germany says they don’t agree with Russia invading Ukraine. On the other side what are the opposing delivering weapons to Ukraine?
Imagine if a right wing politician said this, he’d be called a russian puppet agent and would have the media call him “russian puppet” for the rest of his life. The new German government is awful.

How this ‘buildup’ even work? News about ‘100 000 troops near Ukraine border’ have been repeated for a year now and this number never seems to change. The only thing that changed recently is heavy ramp up in ‘Russia about to attack any moment’ threats from nato sources.
The Russian armed forces are 3.5 million strong. 100,000 troops is under 3% of that count. What is all the hype about? BS, pure and simple.
