Crazy what’s going on. Psaki always seems so nice and on point.
They already annexed Ukraine. This is propaganda.
Yeah, Biden’s White House.
Yeah.
The strategic warning phase is over. We’ll only get a warning once Russians actually start moving out, and there’ll could be precious little time to react. Days at most.
The Russian military buildup is still ongoing, but we don’t know what their course of action is going to be.
Don’t fall into the trap of checking things off a list and thinking that they’ll only attack once certain conditions are met, like when the unit X has arrived in theater, or when they reach the infamous number of 100 BTGs etc.
I see that you are from France. What the hell is wrong with Macron? Why he is so silent? I wonder how he wants to build an EU army when at his first European crisis he hides in his palace in Paris.
Just peachy.
My own students are placing bets whenever they invade. Opening ceremonies of the olympics and spring tend to be popular bets.
Well yeah this is what it comes down to when Russia is too chicken to do anything meaningful and the US is itching for another bloody war with all the warmongering capabilities it has. You are left expecting a war “at any moment” for years. We have now entered what, eighth? Nothing beyond Crimea/Donbass happened and it is highly unlikely that it will happen. Russia is probably just looking for negotiation and they’ll eventually meet in the middle ground after which all those units will very slowly go back, causing Russia billions of roubles. I’m sure Russia would have launched an attack on Ukraine long ago had they thought it was plausible. Putin wanted to play the bluff game and he failed.
Now it is a good time to read Metro 2033 again, might come handy.
Average westiods falling far US propaganda
There is nothing to gain in Ukraine. All Russian government is doing is drumming up enough noise to get an answer to the “ultimatum” in writing. Then Russian Federation will use the exact same arguments for installing and propping up governments in Central and South America.
Russian hypersonic missile systems are coming to a country on American black list near you.
The end goal the way I understand it is to put a complete end to US hegemony.
We are entering a very interesting period in time. It will take years, but US dollar will do the same thing the British pound did in 1944. It will still remain very relevant, but they will no longer be able to export inflation by printing money as they are now.
It’s a good thing for Euro.
We might even see renewed calls for a global currency as there were in 2009 (Russia and China came out with the proposal).
I don’t think anyone is backing down anywhere. Russia needs a legal excuse to proceed (verbally we’ve already heard that it’s a sovereign right of a nation to choose to whether or not to join NATO or not, now it’s just needed in writing)… but Russia going into Ukraine? I don’t see it. There is no support for it.
Good time to get gun and some 7.62 or 5.45… or to find passport and pack things. Hmm, what to chose..
