Still Unable to Post Bond, Trump Has Most Crazed Meltdown Yet

  1. Trump, the notoriously sleep deprived GOP presidential nominee, spent the better part of Monday night shouting into the void about the massive, half-a-billion-dollar judgment against him.

  2. Whiny child accustomed to dodging accountability throws tantrum over perceived inability to dodge it this time.

  3. Always enjoy how Mango Unchained continues to antagonize, disparage and denigrate the people he needs most (Judge Engoron, the NY AG) to show him some leniency and flexibility. Trump is wholly incapable of controlling his mouth or his emotions. Next Monday 3/25 will be fun. My guess at what he’s having for lunch that day? Seizure salad.

Edit: Gotta love how his attorney Habba was bragging – as Trump himself has repeatedly done – just a few days ago about all of the billions he has. Looks like his chickens have come home to roost, right when he needs cash the most for the general election.

  4. “Donald Trump has no idea how to post bond in the fraud trial—and he’s absolutely losing it.”

    Figuratively, and quite literally ..

Fake ass, broke ass, loser ..

  5. I hope New York AG is wasting no time filling out an application to seize Trump’s properties.

  6. “***Trump Has Most Crazed Meltdown Yet”***

That’s a very bold statement. This is Trump we’re talking about here.

  7. This is a pretty tame “meltdown” by Trump standards.

  8. > “I shouldn’t have to put up any money, being forced by the Corrupt Judge and AG, until the end of the appeal. **That’s the way system works!**”

And in the minds of tens of millions of Americans, that lie just became true.

  9. And this is why you hire competent lawyers who either, A) do enough that the penalty is much lower, or B) get to do what they tell you do so you stop incriminating yourself worse. Since you do neither, this is your new reality.

  10. Watching this snowflake melt down nightly warms my heart.

  11. We’re not the ones who claimed you were so rich you were weighted down with cash, Asshole

  12. I wish Sacha Baron Cohen would show up to Mar A Lago in disguise as a multi-billionaire and make Trump beg.

  13. How can a multi-billionaire not have a measly $454 million in cash on hand?

  14. >The real estate mogul was also having a hard time letting go of one particular nagging detail from the trial: the court’s $18 million evaluation for Trump’s primary residence, the Palm Beach resort Mar-a-Lago.

I’m sorry, what now? Like we all know he lives there, but can’t he not actually call that his primary residence?

  15. “If they cannot obtain the bond based on a signature, then the party can:
Deposit collateral. Acceptable forms of collateral are:
    •A cash deposit held by the surety;
    •An irrevocable letter of credit from a bank acceptable to the surety in the surety’s format;
•A pledge of publicly traded, non-retirement account securities; and
•Real property (this can be a form of collateral in certain situations).
The requested bond is generally an amount greater than the judgment sum—CPLR 5519 requires that post-judgment interest and cost are included in the amount. New York State has a 9% statutory interest running on any judgment entered. In New York State, we set the bond amount at 120% of the judgment.”

  16. >“A bond of the size set by the Democrat Club-controlled Judge, in Corrupt, Racist Letitia James’ unlawful Witch Hunt, is unConstitutional, un-American, unprecedented, and practically impossible for ANY Company, including one as successful as mine. The Bonding Companies have never heard of such a bond, of this size, before, nor do they have the ability to post such a bond, even if they wanted to,” Trump moaned on Monday night.

Wow, first President to be impeached twice, one of a handful of single term presidents, and now perhaps the biggest bond request ever!? Please, can this guy stop winning already?

  17. “I shouldn’t have to put up any money, being forced by the Corrupt Judge and AG, until the end of the appeal. That’s the way system works!” Actually that is not how it works as I’m sure you’ve been told a bunch of times already.

  18. Calm down, folks. There have been enough false dawns over the past 8 years. It’s not over until it’s over.

Elon or some other Putinite stooge will probably step in at the 11th hour to back the bond.

  19. I’ve been wondering how all this is going to impact this Thin Skinned Malignant Narcissist’s psyche. If the bond bucks don’t show up, magically, we will soon get to find out. ‘will be wild’–to quote a phrase.

  20. It’s gotta sting for Trump to be rejected by 30 surety companies in his search for a bond.

  21. Well, MAL is “worth at least a billion”, so he should be good, right? I mean it’s not like this whole thing is about him over inflating his worth, right? He’s so rich he could bat an eye and have half a billion in front of himself.. right?

  22. The guy who encouraged cops to be a little rougher on criminals wants all kinds of special kid gloves treatment?

  23. “The only FRAUD in the Peekaboo James case, our failed and disgusting New York State Attorney General, was her convincing ‘Judge’ Arthur Engoron to put a value on Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach, Florida, of just $18,000,000, when it is worth 50 to 100 times that amount. This was fraudulently and illegally done, working closely together in a corrupt Communist system, to set their NARRATIVE after learning that their Values and Facts were completely wrong,” Trump posted, adding that he paid $300 million in taxes—though the public will never be sure of that last point, since Trump famously refused a presidential tradition of turning over his tax returns for examination prior to entering the Oval Office.

He really doesn’t understand how property evaluations actually work, and keeps up the fraud he’s already been found guilty of committing. Plus, gotta love the dog whistle racism. I’m sure his group of MAGA terrorists ate that up.

  24. I think the syphillis and adderal are doing most of the talking now.

  25. I love how when he’s literally been found guilty of fraud because of his inaccurate property valuations, he literally can’t stop himself doing it.

Uh… Is Mar-a-Lago worth $900,000,000 or $1,800,000,000? Because… that’s a massive difference between 50 or 100x what the original value is and what it should be taxed on. You know… LITERALLY WHAT HE WAS FOUND GUILTY OF DOING.

  26. Knowing how absolutely filled with hate and frustration Trump is over realizing he is starting to appear not so wealthy is like Christmas and my birthday all rolled into one super early this year!

  27. I think it’s gonna be a fascinating year…

“Narcissistic collapse happens when a person with narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) becomes unable to uphold their grandiose, confident image due to a perceived fatal blow to their reputation. This leads to a breakdown which manifests as angry outbursts, irritable or defensive behavior, and verbal or physical aggression.”

  28. The property taxes for Mar a Lago in 2023 were $599k on a 33.396 mil valuation. Property taxes are generally public facing information

  29. Gosh. Maybe he should not have committed tax evasion, insurance fraud, and financial reporting fraud.

  30. Here is a point that keeps getting glossed over with this story:

Trump was held liable for inflating the value of his assets. Is there any surprise that nobody capable of issuing this bond is willing to accept his assets as collateral? How would that work, he turns over some documentation showing property X is worth 500 million and they’re supposed to believe that?

  31. If Mar a Lago is worth “50 to 100 times” the valuation placed on it by the court, why doesn’t he just take out a second or third mortgage against all its increased value since he bought it. That should easily cover his bond.

  32. He doesn’t own anything. It’s a house of cards with a foundation of circular debt. I can’t wait for it all to tumble down.

  33. IMHO the most important distinction to make is that between a penalty and disgorgement. There are no fines levied in the case. The judgement is that you received $x.xx via intentionally dishonest and illegal means. You are ordered to give up that $x.xx plus interest. He is not being punished (by the money disgorgement), he is being told that he did not earn that money honestly and that means he must give it back.

  34. > The notoriously sleep-deprived GOP presidential nominee spent the better part of Monday night shouting into the void

I love when journalists throw a little shade.

  35. For the first time in his life, Trump is being held accountable for his actions, and all he can do is cry like like a baby.

I am not shocked that nobody is coming to Trump’s rescue this time. Not only is he notorious for skipping out on his financial obligations, but he can’t keep his fat mouth shut.

Only a day after someone agreed to pay the 90 billion bond in the E. Jean Carroll case, Trump was mocking her again, which might set himself up for a third lawsuit.

Trump is a bad investment at this point, and I am happy nobody is coming to his rescue this time.

I hope hopeless sinks in as he realizes how screwed he truly is.

  36. To recap: Trump was fined over $400m after being found to have lied about his wealth and assets in order to obtain favorable loan terms.

Now he is saying that he doesn’t have as much money as he stated *during the trial.* So he has just admitted to being guilty of the thing that the fine is for (as well as for perjuring himself)…

And now he claims that he’d definitely win on appeal. *While* admitting that the fundamental findings of the case are, in fact, accurate.

    Very Stable Genius, indeed.

  37. “they said it’s worth $18,000,000, when it is worth 50 to 100 times more…”

Dude! That’s a huge range! Do you not understand that this is the crux of your whole fucking issue!?!?!?

  38. >The only FRAUD in the Peekaboo James case, our failed and disgusting New York State Attorney General, was her convincing ‘Judge’ Arthur Engoron to put a value on Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach, Florida, of just $18,000,000, when it is worth 50 to 100 times that amount

Leaving aside the breathtaking racism for a moment (which, jesus christ)…no property is worth 1.8 billion. Like…so obviously? How does this walking poopy diaper have a platform, let alone a death grip on politics?

(It’s the aforementioned racism, I get it, but I will never stop hoping this country can pull the upper half of its body out of its own ass. I wish I could pass some of my own intense embarrassment onto MAGA, but they seem to be immune)

  39. Called the AG “Peekaboo James” is atrociously racist right? That’s not just me?
