Lot of folks won’t remember who he was. When he joined us in winter 2014 (if I remember correctly he joined us in the same time frame as Odegaard) I used to even like him more than Odegaard at the time as based on the footage I had seen and how his physique looked I used to think that Mink could have possibly been able to be a more versatile, box to box attacking center midfielder like Modric, even back then I knew Odegaard would never be able to do that. Shame Mink didn’t evolve to the heights many of us wished.
Interestingly enough, I used to have a Youtube channel for Illarramendi skills videos (LOL) back then and when we got Mink I collected the footage I found online and made a skills video that got a lot of views fast and was featured on Marca’s front page (you could see my channel’s watermark that I had placed in the video).
Eventually I took it down as Mink’s own father PM’ed through Gmail to take it down or else he’d report the video for copyright as he had filmed the footage available lol.
