And deployed combat troops to Kosovo.
Also, this editorial is highly disingenuous on the roots of this german “pacifism”.
It is not rooted in the Cold War, but the very much hot war that preceded it.
Germany’s armed forces being small and not particularly suited for deployment abroad is very much intended, lest our neighbours get understandably twitchy.
