Seriously though, Canada isn’t a major arms exporter (unlike Israel), and this won’t have any effect on the war or Israeli policies.

So what does Canada want Israel to do? Stop the war and let Hamas come back to power? Let in more aid, so the send it yourself like the US. End the war? So Canada doesn’t care about Israeli hostages. I really don’t know what Canada expects Israel to change. Not go into Rafah? They haven’t yet. Stop settler violence? Sanction them yourselves.
The world keeps telling Israel what it can’t do, but not what it can or should do in order to protect itself and return its citizens home.
From supporting the war on terror to supporting a listed terrorist organization.
But we’re glad to deal with the Saudis…

As a Canadian, I’m so sick of this grandstanding. Palestine aren’t our allies. Palestine still jails gay people. Hamas still stones people to death. Hamas is hiding mortars in hospitals and then trying to shock everyone when the IDF target their hospital-rooftop artillery.
We should support the hell out of Ukraine against Russia, and let the cards fall where they may in Gaza. Hamas started this, let it be ended.
