In 2008 I worked at Heathrow airport as a plane cleaner. The amount of shit that pilots and cabin crew do is quite shocking. You’re not supposed to smoke airside but when the plane was empty the pilots and stewardesses would just open the doors and start smoking and drinking all of the little miniature bottles of alcohol. It would be Jack Daniels, Smirnoff and they would even have those 330ml cans of beer. Now I dont know if you realise how dangerous this is but when you open the door of a plane, the drop is like 30 feet, if anybody ever fell out they would maybe die. Now im no better, rather than reporting this, the pilots just used to come up to me and offer me some drinks and some cigarettes. I would go home fucked everyday. They also gave me free sandwiches and left over food as well. Alitalia were the worst offenders. There is a reason that the pilots union does not allow cctv in the cockpit, its because they fuck up all the time. Strangely enough Air Malta was the strictest airline. They would use metal detectors on you before you went on board and sometimes they would refuse you entry because they just didnt like the look of you. Olympic airways was a very low cost airline, they wouldnt give a shit, they would just usher you on the plane, have you clean it as fast as you could and then just usher you off before they would load up with passengers and go again. This meant we often did a piss poor job. Once I swear they landed and left within half an hour. The cabin crew would help us clean the plane as well.
The pilot was drunk off Jäegermeister and was 63 years old. I’d never considered the notion that senior pilots might be hammered on Jäeger bombs. I’d have thought they would have more classy drinks. Are the wizz air pilots getting wankered on Frosty Jack?
