  1. This has happened a few times to a few places, are we getting Cyber Attacked?

If yes, why are they picking such strange targets?

  2. Quick google suggests an IT glitch with the tills. Which means they’ve still made all the food, they just can’t sell it? Sign up to one of those apps and see if they give it all away later!

  3. I do wonder what the outcome would be if for the day they went with “tills are down, we’re going to open as normal and just not take payment and when the food is gone we’re closing”. It would cost a bit but it would be in all the news outlets, you’d have camera crews filming the queues outside your shops etc.

  4. My local Greggs have had a sign like that up for weeks.

  5. It’s insane how little can operate without the internet these days. First Maccie’s now Greggs. Can’t even exchange food for money without being prey to cyber hackers/ random IT failures.

  6. Its the first wave people! Take our food, cause confusion, then bam! launch the second wave…

  7. So many stories like this recently. Who would have thought that gutting the IT budget for bigger exec bonuses and outsourcing IT would have a negative impact??!

  8. This is pretty weird, first McDonalds then Sainsbury’s now Greggs.
    What’s going on?

  9. Cooplands it is then.

Why they can’t just take cash I don’t know. I’m sure just ten years ago they’d have coped fine.

  10. Good to see I’m not the only one denied my sausage roll fix this morning, I’d really been looking forward to that as well 😥

  11. This settles it, I think it’s time for me to leave the UK.

  12. Have to go to Iceland for the day. They got the Greggs essentials

  13. This started to happen to my local greggs for a few weeks then it’s closed down

  14. I’m in the office today and hopped round to Greggs at 7.30 and got my breakfast roll and coffee free.

  15. Time to wrap some sausage in filo pastry, chuck them in the oven and wait for it to not explode! 🤪

  16. Shiiit son, we’re about to experience a national riot

  17. Yeah, I got a message from my manager this morning saying everyone’s tills have basically been wiped clean.
There’s no products on them at all.
