How can you deface graffiti? The white paint chucker has just as much right to do that as the green paint chucker.
Am I alone in actually enjoying the white paint? I think this enhances the political value of the art. You could call it “a million means nothing these days” or something about people being so disgruntled and taking it out on Banksy. It’s like Banksy has been Banksied.
The fact Banksy’s art is worth so much these days gives it less appeal to me. It’s lost its Robin Hood energy.
New banksy works are so quickly stolen or defaced, out of opportunism or jealousy I expect. Shame really.
For all we know Banksy went back and chucked the white paint on themselves haha
