16. It’s impossible to reason with men like Carlson.

    I listened to the 3-hour long interview Lex Friedman did with Carlson soon after his Putin interview. This so I could attempt to understand him and his reasoning and rationale.

    I am an Australian and I thought it would be a good for me to get a perspective from an American that is strongly anti Ukrainian.

    I could write pages here as a rebuttal to the things he said, but I would just be wasting my time because they won’t be heard.

    My conclusions in brief:

    – He is really just not that bright. His reasoning is generally based on minimal fact and then he just ‘builds a story’ around the little he does know.

    – He is no journalist in any real sense of that word. The number of times he said “I don’t know” about the things he should have known to make an interview with Putin, left me stunned. For example, he had never ever heard of the Holdomor. Also, he had no more than superficial knowledge of Maidan yet confidently declared it as coup.

    – He really only has a way with words, which I think primarily got him to where he is coupled with his appeal to generally conspiratorial right wingers.

    Ahh, the world is truly fucked if we let men like him prevail.
