It will cost 1.27 trillion US Dollars over the next 75 years if we don’t save the climate | DW News
It’s official saving the climate saves money this new report shows that climate in action is super expensive it’ll cost us about 1.27 trillion us do over the next 75 years if we continue business as usual instead of staying within the 1.5° pathway of the Paris agreement the
Problem is we’ve burned so many fossil fuels we’ve almost reached that threshold already the report confirms that 2023 was the hottest year on record that has massive consequences oceans have never been warmer and we have never had less Antarctic sea ice cover heat waves Flats droughts wildfires and rapidly intensifying tropical Cyclones
Did not just cause misery and mayam across the world but also many billions of dollars in economic losses the report stresses that we need more adaptation Finance to help developing countries most affected by the consequences of human-made climate change there is a glim of Hope though renewable energy
Generation has surged to the Forefront of climate action last year renewable capacity additions increased by almost 50% from 2022

The US already spends 1 trillion dollars every 100 days to service its debt.
is that why Panasonics new EV battery plant is getting it's very own……. COAL FIRED POWER PLANT to run? cause it makes money or is it that there are ESG incentives?
Use of nuclear power plant will help humanity to control rise of earth temperature(solar system can't be suitable for every region, neither windmill and dams also needs river)
What a ridiculously low underestimate!
😅 bs to the maximum there…
So spend $50T now to save $1.27T over 75 years.
A couple trillion over 75 years? We’ve literally spent a tenth of that in Ukraine in a few years. Do these clowns really think this is going to shock people into action? How many trillions would be lost if the energy industry ground to a halt? Not to mention the starvation and freezing in winter. This is maybe the stupidest attempt to rationalize spending tens of trillions today, for a theoretical long term savings, yet. If you want to scare people talk about that eroding Antarctic ice shelf or something.
We are all Effed and way past the threshold. Look at the carbon pump cycle, also Carl Sagan addresses congress 1985.
…… and the COMEDY SHOW continues.
😂
The problem is China while they continue to build coal Fired electric power plants at the number of 50 a year. China by itself pollutes more than the rest of the whole world
Liars
OK then how much does impactful climate action cost?
Lies. Its the sun.
What a scam. We are having an impact on our planet but the solution is not mandating chinese green tech that relies on so much coal fire electricity they are building more and more every year. The green transition was a funnel for money, not an environmental effort.
Perhaps Putin can force the whole world! Let the whole world submit at his feet! But in our world, there will still be unknown people fighting against his tyranny for justice and freedom!
When it gets hot…it has not yet…the ice caps will melt and cool down the oceans and will cool down the planet…a bit too much…so get ready for ice age.
Worst is that the actual effects of the temperature increase is much worse than predicted.
That figure seems way too low. We've spent 10% of that on one railway line between London and Birmingham, and this could put countries underwater, remove the polar ice caps and level most forests from annual forest fires.
Green communists yess go to India and tell them to be more green
1.75 trillion over 75 years is less then 25 billion a year. Surly climate change should be more costly.
1.5 degrees is not feasible anymore…
this year will be worse
Stop scaremongering, co2 has historically been much higher with only beneficial results of warmer weather, how did middle ages Britain grow grapes for wine 🍷
There IS NO solution unless China and India, with their billions of people, are part of the mitigation and solutions.
Less than 2 years of U.S. military budget.
This just isn't a big issue to me lmao
Been on this Earth 40 years and they've been bitching about climate change and how the world was going to end due to climate crisis since long before I was even born and thus far nothing is any worse now than it was then. Sorry, but you can only claim the world is going to end so many times before people stop listening. It's like the boy that cried wolf.
Financial outlays are the tip of the (melting) iceberg
Right now the planet could run on batteries for 1:15 minutes. How are you going to run the entire planet on wind, solar, and batteries? I know in advance this is going to get taken down, but oh well. No increase in floods, droughts, hurricanes, tornadoes, heatwaves, wildfires, melting ice caps, decrease in sea ice extent, and no mass extinctions. The Earth has greened over an area over twice as big as the Amazon, the Sahara is shrinking. the Earth reached CO2ppm of up to 650ppm in the early Holocene, while CO2 increased, following warming. Folks…..there is no such thing as a "Climate Crisis" ….. the "Climate Crisis" scam makes extremely rich people richer, and the rest of us poorer. Once again ….. There is no "Climate Crisis"
As politicians fly around in private planes and drive SUVs
No matter how much money you have you can't stop that which is to come. More wars, more disasters, more wickedness and greed. Sin is the cause for all these and only Jesus can save from sin. Repent and give your lives to Jesus Christ. Today if you hear his voice, harden not you hearts.
The world paying for China. Now India / Indonesia and Vietnam
17 billion per year. We can afford it.
That's cheaper than the actual costs of trying to stop climate change 😅 I always wondered what's the actual big deal about climate change, mortality due to natural disasters have been actually declining for decades
Im a firm believer of climate change but I often ask myself how much influence we really have on it.
