Neighbour of ours decided to buy a dilapidated boat, park it up outside the front of the house, dismantle it, then spend months scraping the crap off it. They then put up a 2 storey scaffold frame + plastic wrapping. Which became known as the ‘murder tent’. Months later it emerged as a decently repainted boat. 12 months later it’s on its way to being the pile of crap that it was before they started.

I learned how to sail in Sweden and although I’m not very good at it I learned the keeping your ship or boat free from ice and snow is really important that was previously covered in tarpaulins potentially or plastic so that it kept the ice and snow off the boat in winter
