What will we do when the sun starts turning into a red giant?
Imagine a generation or two from now dealing with all of the horror from climate change, then they read a list of issues that conservatives have fought over for the last three decades all while denying climate change exists.
I am sure by then everyone who now believes its a “chinese hoax” will have converted to “we knew, but it was too expensive to do anything about”.
Easy resolution cut the war budget !!!!
Quite realistically, it can’t. What an ironic headline in understanding how myopic the thinking is. There isn’t 50 trillion in funds available, let alone 100T, 500T, or 1266T. It’s not something that can be paid for.
The best part- if it costs a mere 150T to fix (1/10th the cost of inaction), guess what? Nobody has 150T either. That’s the elephant in the room. And that’s the kind of delirious, psychotic thinking that leads a think tank to arrive at “the ultimate solution”. Which, if you haven’t guessed already, involves thinning the herd by 90%.
Mainly from all the damage that storms and rising sea levels are going to cause
