  1. > Government has brought ~~adult social care in~~ England ‘to its knees’

    FTFY

  2. Councils across the country are slashing it as they go bust.

  3. That’s where the plebs belong, on their knees – Tory policy probably

  4. Too many people are making bank on adult social care to want it be tackled. No government wants to deal with it.

  5. This Government has brought the whole nation to its knees.

  6. Well, we’ve had 14 years of a Tory majority now, have they cleared up the mess of *the previous government* yet or do they need more time ~~to fill their pockets~~?

  7. Well it’s not as if the Government cares about disabled people, is it?

In fact, going by how difficult they make just getting PIP, let alone anything else, I’d say the Tories actively hate the disabled.

  8. Healthcare crisis, housing crisis, education crisis, policing crisis, is there anything the Tories *haven’t* completely fucked up yet?

  9. I’m an autistic man. I have a few outstanding healthcare referrals. Its all gotten a bit too much for me to keep track of myself and I am basically getting into meltdown territory more often than I’d like over it. I contacted PALS to see if there was anything the hospital could do to help. 12 months on now I have been sent to service after service after service, every single one of which seems to say they don’t actually *do* anything but signpost to other services.

Its a complete fucking joke. Its like all these things just exist on paper, the moment you actually need some help everyone’s acting all shocked and the *very first* instinct seems to be to find some way to fob you off or pass you on to someone else.

And like I am literally just asking if I can have a single point of contact, maybe spend an hour or two over the year chasing down the clinics to see whats going on for me. And that has turned out to be *basically impossible*? I cannot even imagine how it must be if you have some complicated needs and don’t have family to support you, very much feels like the position of this country is a very strong “go fuck yourself” right now.

  10. What, can’t these wasterels use their own money. They should liquidise a portfolio or two, cash in their bitcoins, draw dividends from offshore accounts eh… policy makers probably

  11. The huge issue with this is, it kicks the can so to speak further down the road. This impacts people’s health now and in the next half a century or more, alongside costing us more in the long run.

The next government has to come in and start again almost, making new foundations to build this back up to a proficient level. And it’s not a quick fix either.

Only (presumably) for the Tories to get back in 5 years later and rip it all apart again.

I just don’t understand the party’s general hatred for those in need & it’s incredibly hard not to view them as simply a party for the rich. It’s disgusting.

  12. What social care? It’s like some Victorian wet dream on this godforsaken rock. No one is happy, everyone is broke and winter is a financial and mental challenge to survive.
