  3. So, Romania really wants to have NATO troops in case of a war. Which, by the way they also don’t think will happen:

  4. The funniest thing to me is that every time this is brought up it reads like Russia doesnt quiet understand that Romania and Bulgaria are themselves NATO members.

    “NATO troops need to withdraw from Romania and Bulgaria!”

    “You mean like.. *our* troops? Where would we put them? Space?”

This is a perpetual cycle of NATO demanding that countries which were so far in Russian zone of influence have the right to join NATO and therefore leave that sphere of influence and remove the buffer zone and Russia demanding NATO to back off from the East. In return NATO restates their position of countries having the right to join NATO and Russia again requesting that NATO declare the expansion of nato toward the East as officially dead. Someone is going to pull the trigger here and, with Ukraine filled with NATO troops and equipment it is going to be a bloody war. Might even turn into a WW3.

  6. Does Russia really not see a pattern? They threaten Finland and Sweden not to join NATO, Finland and Sweden who didn’t care about joining NATO start considering joining NATO. They threaten NATO to remove forces from Bulgaria and Romania, Romania and Bulgaria get more NATO forces provided by the US and France. At some point you must go “HMMM this shit ain’t working!” right?

  8. Appeasement of Russia isn’t working. It’s utterly naive to think that if Russia is allowed to bite off further chunks of Ukraine, they’d stop there, as illustrated by these insane demands. NATO must stand up to Putin and embargo Russia back into the Middle Ages.

  14. The more the time passes, the more it convinces me Putin’s primary goal is to create a cold war where Russia is sieged to keep the power in his country. OFC he could invade Ukraine Eastern regions as a bonus stage.
