  1. As someone out of the loop, this headline makes no sense at all to me…

  2. Drake still doing the pretty boy teen look and he’s old it’s so weird lol

  3. I’m more forgiving of people that made bad judgment calls than people who did actual harm themselves to young people.

  4. If we want to stop people from continuing the cycle of perpetration we have to listen to perpetrators. I’ve worked with some who were then assaulted in prison who understood only then what they’d actually done. Others had it happen and it was just another thing they rationalized. I had inmates tell me with straight faces that they shouldn’t have been raped but what they did to an underage person was all a misunderstanding.

I feel like this behavior is more in the taking accountability camp than deflecting his own role. I haven’t seen him use it as an excuse yet. I can’t imagine that Drake felt by coming out with this information he would be embraced and welcomed back with open arms. He had to know he’d be opening himself up to even more criticism and hate because he’s not a perfect victim. I think it’s good that we stop tolerating rape and sexual violence even if it’s against people we don’t think are worth protecting. Young men are not raised with the same messaging about protecting themselves from sexual violence and so when it actually happens it wrecks them for a long time in a very specific way. Men also typically don’t come out about what happened until mid-life when they finally have the ability to slow down and think about why they’re struggling (or when they’ve hit rock bottom).

I sympathize with anyone who doesn’t have it in them to hear this guy’s story after he so publicly did harm to other people and accepted as little responsibility as possible for it. However, that’s the nature of the justice system and no one is going to sign up to be punished harder than necessary. What he’s doing is important and a step toward helping to heal what he initially was continuing to perpetrate.

  5. if im not mistaken, both Rider and Will addressed this on their podcast, Pod Meets World, a couple of weeks back. they went into detail how they felt at the time and their relationship with Peck and how they were misled and betrayed.

  6. Someone should remind Drake Bell he is a godamn abuser himself

  7. Didn’t Rider and Will address this on their podcast recently? Like, they were like fooled into thinking Peck was a good guy until they realized he wasn’t and felt betrayed or something like that? I suppose Drake didn’t see it…

  8. Okay, someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but if drake’s pumps and dump these “I’m holier than thou” stories it still doesn’t change the fact the allegations against him (Drake) hold validity and weight (Bell fled the country and went to Mexico I could’ve sworn??). Now he’s back here trying to play the sympathy card? Nah dog we ain’t forget about you.

  9. Jesus, so many celebs wrote letters on behalf of a predator. So many women victim blamed and shamed! WTF?! Me too was too long overdue

  10. At least they weren’t inappropriate with minors? 🤷‍♂️
