Might Russia run out of big guns? Its armed forces may be out-shelling the Ukrainians—but they are wearing out their artillery.

  1. I’ve been hearing this for two years now. They’re still shelling.

  2. Russia is “running out of X” since two years now…

  3. There’re a lot of posts about the question of how much Ruzzia has left of tanks, big guns, and other stuff. With the idea that one day they can’t attack or defend themselves. So when is the moment of attrition there? I think it’s a dangerous thought to underestimate Ruzzias’ capability to replenish itself. Therefore, it’s more important to give Ukraine everything they need to defeat Ruzzia on the battlefield so they will rethink twice to attack again. Above all, they need a good humiliation.

  4. Articles like this pretty much sound like “it’s fine if Ukraine doesn’t have enough to fight the war, Russia will run out any time soon anyway”. And then it doesn’t, while Ukraine continues to suffer the consequences.

  5. Whereas artillery parks are pretty much empty in Russia, I have no doubt NK would send some pieces over for the right price.

  6. If I had a nickel for every time I saw this headline I could single handedly fund Ukraine’s war effort.

  7. > A plentiful supply of small kamikaze drones, launched up to 20km from their target, can destroy Russian guns.

This is the first time I’d considered the usefulness of drones vs. shoot-and-scoot tactics. I assumed drone speed is important, but here it’s really clear – the faster they can arrive at the site of the launch, the less distance the artillery can have traveled, reducing the search radius.

  8. I’m glad Russia will wear out its fists beating into Ukraine, but that has been predicted in some form since the beginning of the war. I suggest we give Ukraine what it needs.

  9. It would be a shame if ruzzia did run out big guns. I was hoping there would be one left so putin could be blown from the mouth of it. It was used by colonials to get rid of people who revolt.
And as an Englishman, putin revolts me.

  10. Remember a while ago we were saying they would soon be out of missiles? Well, they still have them now.

Assume they have everything and send aids accordingly. Otherwise, you are just underestimating and helping Russia.
