Hooray NL! But we must make more investments in European defense capability. We must make our own! US is unreliable! Buy Sweden’s, buy Finland’s, buy Germany’s, buy French! It’s time the US realizes how much of their MIC is reliant on Europe’s money! Easy to reach that 2% if rich nations are buying from you!

I love we support Ukraine so much and it’s worth every single euro we spend. It’s funny though how for years and years our own army has been crumbling by budget cut after budget cut. Soldiers training with almost no ammunition, heavy equipments that’s mostly out of service, accomodations that haven’t been renovated in decades. Now all of a sudden there’s billions to spend on a war that does not involve the Dutch army itself. It just shows how short sighted politicians are, going wherever the wind blows.
At least the Dutch army also has billions more to spend these days and hopefully soon a lot of the damage from the past decades can be overturned.
