Der Erfolg in der Ukraine sei „eine Frage der Glaubwürdigkeit der USA“ geworden, sagt der polnische Minister

  1. The withdrawal from Afghanistan was handled badly, first by Trump then Biden. Some observers think that played a part in Putin’s decision to attack Ukraine, and China is now watching closely. Taiwan will be next if the US fails Ukraine.

  2. If you’re relying on the US to do anything, then you’re probably doing it wrong. This is a euro issue we have to sort out. Help is very welcome of course, but we can’t depend on other countries too much. That’s what brought us here in the first place.

  3. Are you listening Republican party. He’s spitting facts.

  4. Imagine trying to negotiate a nuclear deal with Iran after having a nuclear deal with Ukraine.

  5. Dumbest shit I’ve read today. The only credibility at risk here is of the EU.

  6. The US has been rendered largely inert as a participant, and should Trump actually get a second term “credibility” will be the least of their problems.

  7. They elected trump… Do they really care about credibility?

  8. I fail to see how this is our problem. Basically the equivalent of Biden saying the EU has to help us with our border crisis.

  9. We can lie and say Iraq had wmds but heaven forbid we actually enter an ethical war. Jesus Christ I have no hope for our country men.

  10. Nah. It’s not the US’ job to keep Putin in his place.

  11. Funny how Europe STILL isn’t in a war economy. Start that war machine up.

  12. it is about to be 0 when chump wins and pulls aid to ukraine and doubles the war criminals the world will see us for the evil people we truly are. may god have mercy on all of our souls.

  13. I’d say it’s a measure of the legitimacy of the world order itself. Whatever it is that democratic governments mean when they talk about national sovereignty and self-determination is defined by our actions in this conflict.

It’s just like people living on a street and calling themselves neighbors. If one house’s occupants find themselves in need, that’s when everyone finds out who the real neighbors are.

If Russia is allowed to win territory, there is no real order. Just might-makes-right.

  14. Gotta keep up the pressure for funding somehow, hopefully it gets through

  15. Sikorski can fuck right off. It’s not the us’s responsibility to defend every nation on earth. If the EU is so concerned about another 61 billion dollars, how about they scrape it together and give it to Ukraine.

  16. Why would he say that? It’s not like the USA has made a promise to Ukraine that in case of war with Russia it would have its back no matter what. Right? Because that’s what I’ve been told.

  17. I wouldn’t hold their breath on getting more funds. I wonder what Putin has on Trump, must be enough to get him locked up.

  18. Vietnam, Iraq x2, Afghanistan, Yemen, Libya, Somalia, and the entire Middle East.

I would say America’s credibility has been firmly established.

  19. The US doesn’t owe Ukraine anything, only Joe biden.

  20. WTF doesn’t Europe start doing more then? Maybe this crisis will cause them to finally develop a federal military.

  21. The US promised to help for as long as it takes when the invasion started.

  22. Crazy how they depend on us for help when they’re RIGHT THERE. Imagine the support they could provide if they got off their asses!!

  23. The whole world hates the US for its interventionist policy. Until they don’t.

  24. I absolutely agree there should be more aid from all countries, particularly the US, but sometimes politicians happen. Last time I checked though Ukraine is in Europe, not the United States.

(I’m not discrediting Europe’s aid, particularly Poland’s with all the refugee help…but come on.)

  25. The US has already lost its credibility in the global south.

  26. 1960-2016 years USA: “Democratic Europe shouldn’t militarize, more so, become effective federalized superstate, because there are Uncle Sam’s superstate and it’s Arsenal of Democracy!”

2016-2023 USA: “Cough, cough. You know, there are China, Russia, Iran, North Korea… It’s too much for me… A little… So, guys, why are you… You know… Not militarize… Yes, all this time you should militarize! Why aren’t you?!”

When Europe have problems with militarization, at least this have a very good and logical reason – Europe’s inertial. Very powerful one.

But what excuse is there for the United States, which was the Arsenal of Democracy, then was proud of it for decades, and now just isn’t?

  27. I’m so sick of Europe’s team deathmatch mode every century. How is it that the new world of the Americas and Pacific ocean is so peaceful in comparison.

  28. We should be actively holding peace talks instead of escalation tactics. Grow up NATO

  29. The war is on YOUR FUCKING CONTINENT, yet they’ll make excuses not to spend more on their military (only 2.4% of GDP as of 2022)

  30. Um, Poland…we don’t need your approval.

Now go back to doing the Polish things you can do today because we saved you Polish asses twice.

  31. As much as I support US funding for Ukraine, it’s about time the EU stepped up to the plate. It’s their continent, and it isn’t good policy to rely so heavily on another nation for security. They need a war economy.
