Tere! So having a morning chill and thought I would browse Estonian music on Apple Music top 100 Estonia.

So, nearly all non mainstream artists are Russian. Mostly rap, but nevertheless Russian artists from ruzzia. As far as I am aware most artists in ruzzia support Russian genocidal war in Ukraine and generally promote Russian world.

I am aware there are a lot of ethnic Russians living in Estonia, as a minority group. but why are they taking over the top 100 Estonian music hits?

  1. I guess Russians just like Apple Music more than Spotify and Youtube. Personally I know no one who uses Apple Music over Spotify.

  2. Morgenstern was accused of spying and left Russia (I guess he doesn’t support Putler), but he has so shit music I have no idea how he got to the top

  3. Many of these artists also appear on the Spotify [Top 50 – Estonia](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/37i9dQZEVXbLesry2Qw2xS) playlist. Very few Estonian artists – nublu, villemdrillem, Arop, 5Miinust. That’s just what those whippersnappers on Spotify and Apple Music listen to for the moment, I guess. Maybe they do it on purpose, maybe they don’t even know what they’re doing. If it’s mostly rap and hip-hop then you know it’s not a representative of the majority anyway.

  4. It’s just music, hell i listen to russian music sometimes because a lot of Estonian pop songs make my ears bleed.

    If the song itself isnt promoting war or russian regime, then i dont see a problem.

    It’s just music, chill.
