Romania Is Once Again the Largest Grain Exporter in EU

  1. This is sort of good and bad? Like Lithuania for it’s size has a sizable part in wheat exports but wheat in itself has a rather low value added. Therefore there has been talks about investing or attracting investors to process wheat and produce higher value added products. But that is a slow development and for now we will also enjoy our big wheat exports.

  2. Afaik Romania has the largest chernozem (black soil) area in EU, still less than Moldavia and much less than Ukraine.
