Casting aside what people may view about her, I believe her completely, based on the actions and words of Tangerine Palpatine.
She was aware of the risk of violence even before MAGA was a thing. Now everyone is aware of it. It has become harder to find politicians, poll workers, prosecutors and other people in positions of responsibility who don’t fear for their safety and the safety of their loved ones. The MAGA cult harbours violent individuals that pose a tangible security risk.
Im sure she feared for her life but no one was forcing her to come out with her story. She could have just not said anything and never approached Trump to get hush money. This feels a little “woe is me”.
