When I was in Romania recently I saw the phrase “Bessarabia is Romania” daubed on several motorway overpasses and buildings. The article references the actions of the Romanian state to support Moldovan independence, but how much is that reflected in the Romanian people? Is there a significant nationalist sentiment or was I just seeing graffiti from a few oddballs?
