Honestly it’s got nothing to do with him playing hurling, I’ve a friend, my best friend growing up, I’ve seen him headbutt 2 garda after already having 20 convictions for petty crimes and small amounts of drugs and he got a suspended sentence for assaulting the gardai, in fairness to him those Garda were harassing him I witnessed it, he was just walking down the street after an argument with his GF and they stopped him and wouldn’t let him be on his way so they grabbed him and shoved his head into a wall so he headbutted them, very stupid no matter if Garda were in the wrong or not.
He did eventually spend 5 years in prison but not until many many convictions and has been in and out since then but my point is this sentence has nothing to do with the sport he plays it’s because it’s a first offence and Ireland is soft on crime.

I saw this on the 6:1 news yesterday and was wondering what kind of character references a county hurler would have got
You can get away with murder if you rape a child after and got get Nolan as a judge. There’s a woman version of Nolan as well but I can’t remember her name
Even in secondary school the GAA lads and the bais who play for county definitely got special treatment
Jesus lighten up folks. It’s not as if he committed a serious offense, such as smoking cannabis
